MEXICAN CITRUS PORK TACOS WITH CILANTRO AVOCADO SAUCE
Delicious pork tacos that everyone can enjoy.
Pork
- 3 pounds pork shoulder cubed into 4 inch chunks
- 1 tbsp ground ancho chili powder
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tea ground cumin
- 1 tea smoked paprika
- 2 cinnimon sticks
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 cloves garlic thinly sliced
- 1 small onion thinly sliced
- 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 2 limes juiced
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp sea salt
Cilantro Avocado Sauce
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
- 2 limes juiced
- 2 tbsp Bragg's apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1/2 cup mayonaise
- 1 clove garlic small
- 1 tea fresh ground pepper
- 1-2 tea salt to taste
For tacos
- Corn or Paleo tortillas
- fresh cilantro garnish
- shredded cabbage garnish
Pork
Place all the ingredients inside a slow cooker and simmer on low for 4-6 hours.
Remove the pork from the cooker and shred. Removing any excess fat.
Preheat the oven to 400 and place pork on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Crisp for 15-20 minutes.
